Red Dwarf is a British science fiction comedy television series created by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor. Originally broadcast on the BBC, the show suffered a 10-year hiatus due to failed attempts at launching a theatrical film. The show would later return to television on UKTV's Dave in 2009 for the 3-part special, Back to Earth.
In 2012, Red Dwarf broadcast its first full series since 1999 and has been one of Dave's most popular shows since, releasing two further series since in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
